This is all the information you need for ARTS WEEK

Purple Mash

Hi everyone, I'm missing you all so much and hope you are all safe and feeling well.

I have updated the tasks for this week which all have a 'Great Day Out' theme in line with what we would've been studying in school this half term. Trains were mostly used in the past to get to new places. This week can you re-read all about the history of trains and use your knowledge to create a piece of writing for me? Try to make sure your sentences have capital letters, full stops and make sense when you read them back.

As many of you enjoyed a great day out at the farm when you were in Reception I have included a lovely story to read called 'Bramble the Bold' with comprehensions and games to complete. There is a chapter for each day.

There is more phonics and sentence games to keep you busy and a painting challenge too.

For Maths I have included a 'Venn Diagram' activity to continue our data and statistics unit. There is also a 2D shape matching game and an activity where you describe the properties of 3D shapes.

As always you can also collect a weekly work pack from school each Friday between 9.30 and 12.00 if you prefer to work on paper.  Can I make it really clear that you must come at this time to avoid being turned away, as we have arranged this on a strict socially distanced basis. I know it isn't always easy to work on laptops/devices and I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to all of you who have kept up. heart

Don't forget about Hyde Library's Reading Summer Challenge. I would love it if you had a go at this. Make us proud Greenfielders!!!

Keep safe everyone and keep washing those hands!

Phonics Games

Reading

Below is a link to 'Big Cat Collins Reading Books' which offers a whole selection of colour banded reading books in e-book form. Your child knows what colour band they are on or you can check the coloured sticker on the side of your child's reading book, which was sent home.

There is a mixture of fiction and non-fiction books to choose from. Keep reading everyone!smiley
