All children at Greenfield have access to Purple Mash. Your child's teacher will set tasks from here as well as the weekly tasks in the tab below. Check you child's home page for work that has been set. Otherwise there are 1000's of fun resources for your child to explore on here for all curriculum areas.
Year 6 children will also have access to Scratch. Tasks will be set for you to complete on here. Check what the tasks are in the weekly task tab below.
The children use letter join in school to develop their handwriting skills. The website has lots of fun activities for your child to do at home to build on the work at school.
The children use Reading Plus to develop their comprehension skills. They should use this for at least 30 minutes, 5 times a week. Your child needs to complete all ticked tasks before a new book will open.
We ask that children also read a variety of fiction and non-fiction books at home.
All children have access to TTRockstars to continue to practise their times tables. There is also a link to weekly maths lessons below.
This term UKS2 have studied WW2. Here are some sites that may help their understanding more.

11th May-15th May
This week would have been SATs week and if we were in school we would be preparing to sit our tests this week. Here is a poem to remember this week.
To All the Year 6 children
As SATs week arrives it is quite not the same,
The tests that were printed this year never came,
The displays all still up, walls full of maths 'rules'
But Year 6 very different, at present, in schools.
For some of you, happiness, lots of relief,
For others a sigh of pure disbelief,
That you worked really hard in advance of this week,
Expected and Greater Depth marks you did seek.
Algerbra, fractions, the times table drills,
Inference, retrieval, in-depth reading skills,
Past present progressive...and all the SPAG terms,
You've practised and mastered them over the years.
Fear not though, the SATs yes won't happen this term,
But remember tests don't measure everything you learn,
Primary subjects are varied; you've always tried your best,
And many of those skills that you've gained can't be defined by a test.
So here, Greenfield 6 you've made us so proud,
We sit here with pride and we shout this out loud...
"Year 6 you amaze us, you've come incredibly far...
And we don't need a test to see how amazing you are!
Thinking of you all this week Year 6
