Current Work

This week the children in Nursery went on a train trip from Hyde Central to Rose Hill. We saw a coal store, an old railway track called the Middlewood Way and then we found a field to have a run and roll down the hill! It was lots of fun.

At the end of Ramadan we had an Eid Party. We wore our special clothes, danced, played games and enjoyed some party food. Eid Mubarak.

We visited the French Cafe and tasted delicious croissants, french bread and hot chocolate.

We brought in our Teddy Bears for a picnic in the sun. It was so hot we sat in the shade of the trees! Some of our families came to join us. It was good fun!

Friday 5th May - Some of our parents stayed to play today. We showed them the things that we do in class. Then we went outside to explore and see how many flowers, trees, birds and cats we could see.

Parent comments:

"It was nice to stay in nursery and see what they are doing."

"I enjoy it. It's really nice I like this. It's very helpful. Thank you."

"Really enjoy these sessions. Should do them more." smiley

"It was lovely staying back and watching my child and going exploring."

Stockley Farm Park trip on Tuesday 25th April. We all boarded the coach for a short ride to the farm. Some of us even read the papers!

When we arrived we had a tractor ride and a walk in the woods. We sat in the trailer on bales of straw being pulled by the tractor. Then we went for a walk through the woods.

We looked at lots of animals. We saw rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks, pigs, baby goats (kids), cows, calves, sheep and lambs.

Finally we got to feed the kids. The baby goats were very excited to see us because we had their milk!

We had a great day learning about science on Thursday. We investigated different types of bubbles and found out that bubbles are made from soap and water.

We were given special glasses so that we can see rainbows when we look at light!

We made sherbet by adding two spoons of icing sugar with citric acid to make it sour and bicarbonate of soda to make it fizz!
