Would you like to know how to make ‘storytimes’ fun?

We are running a ‘Making Storytime Fun’ course specifically tailored for parents and carers of our ‘Nursery’ and ‘Reception’ children.

The course will include:

Storytelling without books.

  • Using props to tell a story.
  • Ideas and activities to use at home.
  • Reading techniques.
  • Questions to ask before, during and after a story.
  • Methods to test understanding.

The course is delivered by ‘Tameside Adult Learning Unit’ and will take place on Monday mornings from 9-11am for 8 weeks, starting from Monday 8th May 2017 at Greenfield Primary School.

This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to be more involved with their child’s early learning stages of language acquisition.

If you would like to book onto the course you will need to attend our enrolment session on Monday 8th May in our Community Room at 9am.

PHONICS COURSE.

The Phonics course is specially designed for Parents to help them with their child's reading

Information will be sent to parents and posted on this page when a new course is due to start.

Please always return the reply slips quickly as places are limited.

PARENTING COURSE.

We also run parenting courses,  places are limited and must be booked in advance - information will be sent to parents and posted here when a new course is due to start.
