Welcome to EYFS!
Foundation Stage Staff 😀
This half term our topic is 'Journeys’. In this topic we will be using positional language when racing cars, going on a journey to the woods to look at seasonal changes, going on a trip to Gulliver's World (from the children's interests) and much more! Below is our curriculum map for this half term (Summer 2) which will give you more information on all the exciting things we will be doing.
Book bags are to be brought into school everyday and will be returned home each night.
Reading books and library books are changed once a week. The reading books have a coloured sticker on the side and are books your child can read to you with some help. The library books are books you can read to your child to develop a love of reading.
Homework is given out every Friday and is to be returned to school by Wednesday. The homework will be based on work the children have been learning throughout the week.
If you have any questions about the reading books or homework please ask one of the foundation stage staff and we will be happy to help you.
The children will also need to bring in a pair of labelled Wellington boots to leave in school for when we go on walks to the woods and learn in our outside area. They will take part in PE on Thursday morning. All children need a PE kit, which consists of a white t shirt, black shorts or trousers and black pumps.
